Bishop Dr. Dorothy W. Washington continually praises God for His faithfulness to her in every area of her life. He delivered her from a sinful life as a club owner and made her successful in His kingdom teaching principles of godly finances. Almighty God also healed her from severe depression in 1975 after she committed herself to a 29-day hospital stay. Dorothy suffered from deep depression and a spirit of suicide when she discovered her husband was on drugs. She finally sought the Lord and He heard her and delivered her from all of her fears. Her testimony is that she has not suffered any more from debilitating depression. The Lord gave her victory and healed her heart, as she trusted Him through two tragic divorces. The Lord physically healed her from the trauma of a 64-day hospital stay as the result of an auto accident. The Lord Jesus Christ turned her defeat into victory.

She now travels extensively preaching, "Your future is greater, much greater than your past." Dorothy testifies that during her time in the valley she developed true intimacy with God. God rewarded her richly for seeking Him. She found Him faithful at each place of crisis in her life. The Lord continues to order Dr. Washington's footsteps and has given her a heart of compassion for those who are hurting, depressed, fearful, abused, accused and misused. Her testimony and the blood of Jesus help many hurting and oppressed to overcome the works of the enemy. God ministers through her in true compassion and the awesome gifts of the Spirit. She has experienced pain and the healing presence of the Lord!

Apostle Dr. Dorothy Washington is the founding pastor of one church in two locations: Houston and Galveston. She has been the senior pastor of Good News Church for 17 years. She moves in all five offices of ascension and is a sought-after conference speaker. She is the founder of LIFE - Leaders Inspiring Faithful Endurance and the Agape School of Ministry, and operates a capacity-filled daycare and a Christian Academy. She frequently hosted the local TBN Praise the Lord Show for ten years. She is also a published author and has a monthly byline in "Better News," a Houston-based Christian newspaper.

God has anointed her to teach on finances, government and healing. She moves freely in the prophetic and walks in a high level of integrity. Apostle Dr. Washington is a former high school and college teacher in the field of science. She also holds a Ph. D. in theology. Dr. Washington is the mother of one adult son, Joseph, and has one grandson, Joseph III, and one granddaughter, Dorothy Joe'na Louisse.
